I uncovered my passion for music when I was invited to a session with the artist Prince. He was writing the original music for Batman, that had never before been played. I could hear and tell each note and melody before and as he was playing it. From that point, I became confident and serious about writing, playing and singing, I found a guitar teacher and began writing more and more.
Along the way, I got encouragement from Reba McIntire's management who I sent a few songs to and also had a chance to meetWillie Nelson who listened to Texas now on the Secret Life of Dreams CD and encouraged me. I also received encouragement from singer songwriter and artist, Duncan Shiek as well. I started touring and was booked by Starbucks to do a regional tour in Chicago. I also got the chance to play at SXSW in Austin,TX. I also was asked to write the music for the Mazda Miata introduction to the US market.
I find inspiration all around me. I try to make my music representative of multi generations. One of my songs on this CD Love, was written to encourage people, because I kept hearing that they felt they were alone in a loveless world. I was very much inspired by George Martin and The Beatles production work, so there is a lot of lush sound. Line is another song with production inspired by the Smashing Pumpkins. When Love Comes Your Way, inspired by Vince Gill's , When Love Finds You. So much more , Texas - Willie Nelson. Under the Stars of Love - the universe and it's awesomeness and has a little bit of an Eric Clapton vibe.
